Backup and uninstall

Back up local Finipher data and uninstall on macOS or Windows.

Back up your local data before you remove Finipher.

Steps

  1. Quit Finipher.
  2. Back up the Finipher data folder for your operating system.
  3. Remove the app.
  4. Keep the backup if you may reinstall later.

On a Mac

  1. Use Finipher → Quit or Quit from the menu bar item.
  2. Back up ~/Library/Application Support/Finipher.
  3. Delete Finipher from Applications.
  4. Some runtime downloads may be cleaned up after the app is removed, but your data folder is kept.

On Windows

  1. Quit Finipher from the app or system tray.
  2. Back up %APPDATA%\Finipher.
  3. Use Apps & features or Installed apps to uninstall Finipher.
  4. Keep the backup if you want to restore statements later.

Warning

Never delete your data folder unless you are sure you no longer need the documents or results.

You'll know it worked when

Finipher is removed and your backup contains the local data folder.

If this doesn't work

Restart your computer, confirm Finipher is not running, and try uninstalling again.
