Guest vs account
When Guest is available, and why a signed-in account is required for Cloud and the web app.
Guest is only for trying the desktop app on this computer. It does not activate a paid license.
Steps
- Choose Guest only on the Mac or Windows app when you want to explore Local Mode without signing in.
- Choose Sign in when you already have a finipher.com account.
- Create the account on the website before a paid trial.
- Keep one email for billing, desktop, web, and phone.
What guest means
Guest data stays on that computer, in that guest session. It does not unlock Downloads, Private Cloud, household, or the web app.
What an account means
An account ties together billing, downloads, license activation, the web app, Private Cloud, and phone Full Mode.
You'll know it worked when
The app shows your email instead of Guest and paid features are available.
If this doesn't work
Sign out, then sign in with the email shown on finipher.com Account.
