Choose how you work
Local Mode, Finipher Private Cloud, organization, web, desktop, and phone — pick the path that matches how you want files read.
Finipher has one workbench and several places that can read your files. Pick the place first. The screens then stay familiar.
If you want files to stay on this computer
Use the Mac or Windows app and choose Local Model (On this device).
- Documents stay in the Finipher data folder on this machine.
- Setup downloads the Finipher engine and a model. That needs RAM and disk space.
- The phone can sit alongside this computer. It does not receive the PDFs.

If you want the same workbench on web, desktop, and phone
Choose Finipher Private Cloud.
- Files stay staged on the device until you click Process Documents.
- After that, they are stored under your account on Private Cloud until you delete them.
- Sign in with the same email on finipher.com/app, the desktop app, and This phone on its own.

If your workplace gave you a Finipher URL
Choose Organization. Files go to that service. Your organization sets retention and can open the documents. Finipher does not receive them.
If you only have a phone
Choose This phone on its own. It starts on Finipher Private Cloud. You can change the location later in Settings. Switching modes never moves documents.
If you already have a computer doing the reading
Choose Alongside my computer, pair with a code, and use the phone for Today, Actions, and reminders. See Phone: what it is.
Small Business note
Pulse, Cash, and Profit run on the desktop Local Mode app today. Finipher Private Cloud shows that Small Business is not available there yet. Do not put business invoices in Personal while you wait.
You'll know it worked when
The workbench badge matches your choice: On this device, CLOUD, or your organization name.
If this doesn't work
Open Settings and check Where documents are analyzed. Sign out and sign back in with the same email if the badge looks wrong.
